The Contact Era & The Case for Human Sovereignty

A Book by David Drimmel · July 4, 2026

Non-human intelligence is on Earth now. The institutions that should be naming this are silent, the voices that have stepped forward are mostly leading people away from themselves, and humanity is being asked to meet the largest threshold in its history without the inner ground to meet it. This book is the case for meeting it with sovereignty, clarity, and unity.

II The Central Concept

The Turn
is the inner
revolution.

There comes a moment in a person’s life when the knowledge of the intervention stops being external information and becomes internal compulsion. Interesting becomes I must. The awareness reorganizes a person’s relationship to career, religion, politics, family, body, and calling.

The Turn does not mean a person is fully living the new orientation. It means they have reached the turning point. From there, the outer life begins to reorganize around the inner Knowing, and the question changes from what is happening to what is mine to do.

Most people stall at there is nothing I can do. The Called cannot stall. The Contact Era exists to give them what comes next, a path through the Turn that grieves the old world reality, orients to the new world reality that has already arrived, and builds the inner and outer life this moment is asking for.

III The Discernment Framework

The Litmus Test

A four-criterion diagnostic for evaluating voices, frameworks, movements, and ideologies in the Contact Era. The test is project canon. The reader is taught to apply it, including to this work.

Does this make humanity more sovereign, or less?

I

Ground

Non-Negotiable Foundation

Does this framework treat human freedom, consent, and the capacity for independent thought as sacred, or does it rationalize their loss? A failure here ends the evaluation.

II

Signal

Content & Claims

The quality and coherence of what is being asserted. Grounded in observable patterns and corroboration, or in internal revelation. Uncertainty acknowledged, contradictions addressed honestly.

III

Impact

Power & Asymmetry

Does the framework realistically account for power dynamics, deception, manipulation, and asymmetric intelligence? Intent is evaluated through behavior, never through assumed benevolence.

IV

Trajectory

Behavioral Consequence

Does the framework make humans harder to influence and manipulate, or easier? Does it support unity, discretion, and self-sufficiency, or openness without readiness?

The Litmus Test ships in the book and lives at /work/frameworks/discernment-litmus-test as a working reference, applied to the most prominent voices in the field today.

Open the Framework
Awareness is not the finish line. It is the beginning of a harder question: how does a person take the knowledge of intervention and reorganize their life around it?

IV The Book

A future-history record, a present-day reckoning, a working tool for the path forward.

Ten parts, twenty-four chapters, plus an Opening Vision from the year 2102, a Preface, and an Epilogue. The book moves from future-history through the evidential record, then through evaluations of researchers and channeled voices, the Discernment Litmus Test, social engineering and civilizational vulnerabilities, and a closing vision of an Ecozoic future humanity has met this moment to earn.

VII The Author

A first-person record from inside the Turn.

David Drimmel is the author of The Contact Era & The Case for Human Sovereignty, host of Voices of Evolution, and the founder of Origin Temple. He has spent two decades teaching internal arts and another decade reading the field that the institutions still refuse to name.

The book is not the report of an outside observer. It is the working record of a person inside the Turn writing for the people walking it with him. The Path Forward is the architecture built around what comes after.
